Young Leaders Summit

This is to invite your school to participate the Young Leaders Summit. This summit is organised for schools in May or June in celebration of the Day of the African Child and Democracy Day

Since 2000, CGN-Willows Magazine has been involved with planning programmes and organising corporate projects and National and United Nations Observances. These observances are global  and/or local programmes designated to commemorate and celebrate events through which children and young people can learn and share.

Usually the entire month during which these events are commemorated is used to focus on issues relating to the theme. CGN is a member of the African Children Broadcasting Network and a member of the Nigeria Children Council and we have attended the triennial World Summit on Media for Children since 2001 and have been involved with facilitating media, education and mentoring workshops, conferences and tours for youths locally and abroad.

The project director of Cares Global Network – Omolola Omoteso Famuyiwa – a seasoned international speaker, media expert, counsellor, author and mentor of mentors will work with your school to organise the programme. Feel free to request for her curriculum vitae or profile.

Those who excel durign the Young Leaders Summit. will be given priority to participate at the United Nations Youth Assembly later in the year.

Our packages include ones for which the student will pay a token (subject to minimum number of participants) and those the school will be required to pay a lump sum to enable students attend free. Please note that though school uniform would be worn for the conference, the students would be expected to pay for t-shirt to be provided for the workshop and media tour (if interested).

Since the school will be responsible for conveying the students to and fro the venue of the programme (if not scheduled for your school), the school will be given a percentage of fees paid by students as incentive for supporting the programme. If your school is willing to host the event at your location, other neighboring schools will be invited to participate.

Kindly contact willowsmagazine@gmail.com to indicate your school’s willingness to participate in any of the conferences so we can begin discussion on modalities and include your school on Mrs. Omoteso’s schedule. Though resident in the USA, she is presently in the country to organise the events and honour speaking engagements.

We look forward to your participation and a meaningful discussion in the best interest of your students.
