Cares Global Network (publisher of Willows Magazine for young people) is a media and youth development company that is focused on educating, informing, entertaining and inspiring the young minds. We have always believed that young people can excel and we have had the privilege of watching them excel as we impact their lives with our quality services.
Children's Day is celebrated in Nigeria on the 27th of May annually. It is a day when the hopes and aspiration of not only the Nigerian child but every child that lives and lays claim to Nigeria is celebrated. This event has been celebrated in the past by Cares Global Network; in 2005 our focal audience was also teens. This special age group are usually left unattended to as majority of events focus on children 3 - 12 years.
We do not have record of the Nigeria Children's Day being celebrated here in the United States but we decided to make history by not leaving children here out of this special event. On 23rd of May, 2009 Cares Global Network (CGN) and our partners (RCCG, Jesus Palace and SHOUT Global Health) brought together teenagers to celebrate the hopes and aspirations of the Nigerian child (hurray!); it was a beautiful event.
